Summertime weather means longer days, evenings perfect for sipping cocktails on the patio, and sunshine-filled beach trips and pool visits. The season also brings with it some intense temperatures, though, and it’s a good idea to temper outside adventures with some indoor, air conditioned activities.
Luckily, there’s plenty to keep you busy inside – and good TV is one such activity. Here are five shows that are binge-worthy this summer:
This 10-episode Hulu series based on the Margaret Atwood novel of the same name is definitely not for the faint of heart, but it’s certainly worth watching. Hulu is rolled the show out with weekly episodes, but all is available to watch in succession by now. Elizabeth Moss (who you’ll recognize from Mad Men) shines in her lead role as Offred in this series.
Season 5 of this hit Netflix series will premiered on June 9! You’ll get to check in on your favorite Litchfield inmates as the stage is set for additional episodes (the show has been confirmed for a sixth and seventh season already – whew!).
Aziz Ansari wowed viewers with Season 1 of this show, and Season 2 is even stronger. The comedian takes us abroad and back, while addressing topics including religion, food, and relationships in a very binge-worthy (and romantic) sophomore season.
Kimmy’s back! Get ready for more escapades from the blissfully naïve Kimmy, meme-able quips from Titus, and out of touch commentary from Jacqueline in this sure-to-please third season from creator Tina Fey.
The latest season of the food show fave will premiere in the U.S. on June 16, and fans will notice a few favorites missing (judge Mary Berry and co-hosts co-hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins are no longer with the show thanks to a programming change back in the UK), but the show is sure to still serve up delicious content and charmingly British contestants.
