Watch Me Dip
With Valentine’s day on the horizon, you’re likely breaking out the chocolates and making reservations at your favorite restaurants. But this year, why not show your body and your soul some love? Stay in, light some candles, and sure, gnosh on some chocolate, but create a fun couples activity by making it together!
Dark Chocolate Dipped Strawberries & Raspberries
Not a baker? Not a problem. Pick up some organic strawberries and raspberries and your favorite dark chocolate (we love 85% dark chocolate) and you’ll have a perfectly guilt-free but oh-so-delicious dessert that’s worthy of this festive holiday!
1 pint organic strawberries, rinsed and dried
1 pint organic raspberries, rinsed and dried
2 3-4 oz dark chocolate bars (we love G reen & Black’s 85% dark chocolate bars)
Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Set aside.
1. Melt your chocolate down using a double boiler or a microwave until smooth.
2. Holding the green part of the strawberry, dip your fruit into the chocolate, swirling it around until it’s completely covered up to the green part. Shake off the excess chocolate and place it on the parchment paper. Continue with the rest of the strawberries.
3. For the raspberries, use either a toothpick or a fork to dip into the chocolate, shaking off the excess chocolate and placing them on the parchment paper along with the strawberries. Place them in the fridge to set, and keep them there until ready to serve.
